Aileen was born and grew up in Invermay, Launceston. She is married to Jim and has two sons David, who is married to Rhonda and Michael who lives in Melbourne.

Aileen was ordained Deacon in 2002 and received a very clear call to the priesthood and a change of ministry focus. She was ordained Priest at Parish Church of St David, Cooee, Tasmania on Sunday 13 January 2008.

Aileen's hobbies are reading, music, cricket and AFL football
