All church workers in the Anglican Church in Tasmania need to be endorsed as a requirement of service. Our Safe Church Communities (SCC) Program is a program of screening and training which facilitates endorsement. Our aim is to ensure that church workers are fit for their office, supported in their roles and have the skills and knowledge to contribute significantly to the development of safe and healthy church communities.

The first Schedule of the Safe Church Communities Ordinance defines the endorsement requirements for different roles and duties of church workers within the Diocese.

Safe Church Communities Re-endorsement

Three yearly re-endorsement is required by the government (Working with Vulnerable People card) and by the Diocese. The SCC schedule defines Diocesan re-endorsement requirements.
